Therion has a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Supply Chain Management team as a summer intern. The company is completing renovation of a manufacturing facility from which it will launch two therapeutic cancer vaccines for pancreatic and prostate cancer and is in the conceptual planning stage of a dedicated full scale plant. The project will be multidisciplinary and require cross functional integration with Therion senior managers in Manufacturing, Quality, R&D; and Finance. Specifics of the project include:
Building a cost of goods model that will allow modeling of vaccine costs per vial at various levels of output and batch size, representing clinical supply through commercial launch.
Working with the supply chain team to extend the model to a dedicated full scale plant currently in planning.
Performing a capacity analysis of the current launch facility. Currently the facility is operating on a single shift as a multiproduct facility. Upstream bulk vaccine production and subsequent downstream filling and packaging are two distinct phases of production with markedly different capacities.
