We are seeking a strong Immunology professional to design and execute scientific research projects of recombinant poxvirus Cancer vaccines to evaluate immune responses to poxvirus based immunotherapy and to characterize the proteins produced by the recombinant poxviruses. Investigate, design, and develop assays to monitor immune responses of pre-clinical and clinical trial samples. Investigate, design, and develop assays to characterize proteins produced by the recombinant poxviruses to support product lot release. Participate in organizing and managing administrative functions of the laboratory and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of data. Maintain broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories; investigate new methodologies. Represent departmental function on program teams and provide scientific guidance and training to Research Associates in a strong leadership role. Responsible for assuring compliance with internal SOPs, FDA regulations and cGLP and cGMP compliance. Responsible for writing and editing standard operating procedures, technical procedure manuals, and related documents.

We are looking for candidates that embrace our core values of Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Compassion, Commitment and Excellence was also ask that you have a Masters or Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology or related scientific discipline and at least 5+ years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company. Biologics experience preferred. Experience in developing immunologic and/or protein based assays. Experience working with human and animal samples including harvesting tissues and immunization in mice. Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills required. Established ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues. Strong initiative and a can-do attitude, proven effectiveness in a quick-changing, fast-paced environment, excellent people skills, and a proven record as a team player are also essential.
